i+solutions is a young and dynamic organization located in Woerden with local offices in Washington DC, Burundi and Rwanda. In Woerden we employ about 60 persons and work with sub-contractors across the globe. Our clients include international organizations such as WHO, UNFPA, Ministries of Health and of Foreign Affairs, USAID, the Global Fund, UNITAID, NGO's and private companies. We are the major pharmaceutical procurement partner in the US Government-funded PEPFAR program and the Pooled Procurement Mechanism (PPM) for the Global Fund, with a total yearly procurement volume over 700 million USD.

We are looking for a Business Development Intern, preferably for the spring/summer period of 2016 to provide assistance to the organization in identifying donor resources, researching market trends and country specific bottlenecks in pharmaceutical supply-chain. The Business Development Intern will be reporting to Director Business Development and Innovation.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Regularly monitor donor websites and identify and inform donor opportunities matching the work of the organization.
  • Undertake a landscape analysis of organizations working in public health in targeted countries. The analysis should include the organization's scope of work, target districts, and donors.
  • Conduct literature reviews on issues related to pharmaceutical supply chains in target countries.
  • Perform an analysis of targeted donors funding initiatives. The analysis should include funding priorities, speeches, current grantees, and programmatic staff.
  • Assist BD consultants in drafting project proposals.
  • Support the communication officer with various marketing activities.
  • Contribute to the development of work-instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Other miscellaneous tasks as and when required.

Profile

  • Student in Global health or related field.
  • Keen interest in supply-chain.
  • Experience/interest working with Low and Middle
    Income Countries.
  • Fluent in English, other language skills as
    French or Spanish considered an advantage.
  • Interest / previous experience with social media
    will be considered an advantage.
  • Residing in the Netherlands.

Conditions of internship

The internship is for a minimum of 32 and maximum of 40 hours per week. We offer a dynamic and pleasant internship environment, and a monthly compensation of maximum € 500 (fulltime).
