ML Engineer (REMOTE internship)

At Zimmerman you will learn to play an assisting role in understanding how data has become an essential asset in the minds of our clients and partners and our open source data systems play a key role in some major organisations around the world. You are an eager learner with the capacity to assist in the production of existing back-end services that are built using Python, Django and Java. We work with API’s for our data services, so you will get yourself acquainted with the REST framework, GraphQL, Solr and storage based that we use in PostgreSQL and MongoDB.

  • Review existing assets for our data services and projects
  • Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to assist in the creation of additional end-to-end features for our open source data service
  • Learn to distill and visualize complex data sets and attributes into summarizing visual views as part of gaining data knowledge
  • Define, create and improve the tools and processes that accelerate workflows for the developers.

**You have:**

Relevant academic background

Experience working within Agile is a plus

Willingness to learn and operate in a small international team
