Video Game Testing & Assessment Assistant in Haarlem

Iceberg Interactive is an international games publisher, located in Haarlem. We work closely with development teams from all over the world and we sell our games predominantly through digital platforms. These include Steam, EPIC Games Store, PlayStation Store, Xbox Marketplace and Nintendo eShop.

Wat ga je doen?

As a Game Testing & Assessment Assistant you’ll work closely with our Producer (Bart), and you’ll test games for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. You’ll also support the Business Development Director (that’s Raymond) with review potential new games for our future line-up. This position puts you right in the middle of it all, which gives you a great impression of what production, development and publishing processes are within the games industry.

Expect to do the following:

  • Test games
  • Help test new games (assessments)
  • Help out the producers with executive tasks
  • Writing short assessments of in-development builds
  • Doing short comparative market research (looking at other games)
  • Tracking and documenting bugs using our existing tools
  • Testing DLCs, patches and updates
  • Brainstorm about solutions to game design problems
  • Play a bunch of games

Wat wij vragen:

  • You’re a MBO/HBO/WO (bachelor and up) student.
  • You play games. Indie, AAA, casual; the wider your field of interest, the better.
  • You know your way around social media, forums and other platforms.
  • You’re interested in the industry behind the games: the people, the business and how they’re made.
  • You work accurately, have an opinion and aren’t afraid to share it.
  • The direction of your education is Game Design/Development/Interaction Design/Media Studies or anything else relevant to this internship and company.
  • You are available five days a week (40 hours) during your internship (with the exception of a day here and there that you need to report back to school).
  • Geen ervaring vereist
  • Minimaal hbo werk- en denkniveau;

The internship is for a duration of 5 months, and starts in September 2021.

Due to COVID-19, you would have to be able to work from home. We're hopeful that we'll be able to return to the office by the start of your internship, but that is not certain yet.
