Internship Financial Instrument Valuations Opportunity in Amstelveen

As an intern in the Debt Advisory team you will obtain hands-on experience in the valuation of complex financial instruments such as interest rate swaps, FX swaps and loan instruments. You will perform these valuations as a member of the Debt Advisory team, which will provide you with a great opportunity to get to know KPMG Corporate Finance.

KPMG Corporate Finance
The Corporate Finance division consists of three teams: Debt Advisory, M&A and Valuations. In the Debt Advisory team we assist corporates, financial- and public institutions with challenging and complex financing. We assist our clients with services such as refinancing processes, structured finance issuances, project financing and public-private partnership projects. In addition to the transaction related debt advisory engagements, KPMG Debt Advisory also acts as an advisor to clients in the valuation of financial instruments and the sale of loan portfolios.

Internship
You will assist the team for a period of 3-4 months with performing valuations for (internal) clients at KPMG. In doing this, you will obtain valuable experience in the valuation of financial instruments, Bloomberg and structuring models in MS Excel. You will develop essential skills such as conducting conversations with clients and working in a driven team.

This internship will provide a unique opportunity to explore in detail the valuation a wide variety of financial instruments structured by or on behalf of large international institutions. During the internship you will have the opportunity to work independently on complex valuation assignments, whilst having the support of the team when needed. Working in this team will provide you with an insight into the culture and work environment at KPMG Corporate Finance.

Additional requirements are as follows:

• You are currently studying towards obtaining a university degree (preferably in Business Economics, Econometrics or Finance);
• You can speak English fluently;
• You have an affinity with financial instruments such as derivatives and other complex financial products, and enjoy solving problems; and
• You are available for 3-5 days per week for a period of 3-4 months in the months December to April.
