About the team and your challenge

As a Project Manager Intern you will assist our Project Manager  in the Traveller Success team on a diverse range of projects. The Project Manager is responsible for the operational and strategic development and innovation. You will help to manage (global) projects that focus on structural improvements for the Traveller Success team. With your analytical skills, you are able to conduct root-cause analyses. You are able to interpret numerical data and come up with actionable insights. Moreover, you function as an internal consultant that is capable to understand diverse cases and situations on a high level in a short timeframe. You will work on specific projects to continuously improve both internal workflows and processes and the traveller experience.

Your tasks

  • Initiate and drive your own projects by creating project plans, working together with stakeholders and come up with proposals (e.g. to improve the efficiency of operational processes within Traveller Success or to implement the use of new features and tools);
  • Supporting projects that contribute to TravelBird’s Service Mission 2018-2020, for example implementing Self Service possibilities
  • Supporting and coordinating implementation of new workflows;
  • Deep-Dive into data and situations and come up with actionable insights/solutions;
  • Conducting cost/benefit analyses to give advice for decisions;
  • Initiate additional external research
  • Supporting and functioning as a sparring partner for our Project Manager on a diverse range of topics;
  • Supporting our Traveller Success team with operational activities when needed

Who you are

  • Studying a subject relevant to the internship on higher education/university level (e.g. Business Administration, Economics, Tourism Management);
  • You have the ability to understand and simplify complex concepts;
  • Basic knowledge of Excel;
  • Good understanding of data and analyzing skills;
  • Have a natural sense of customer needs;
  • Capable of finding efficient solutions;
  • Accurate and detail-oriented;
  • Stress-resistant and flexible;
  • Organised and structured;
  • Self-motivated and able to think creatively;
  • Good communication and writing skills in at least English;
  • You are available for a minimum of 5 months, full-time (no thesis);
  • Live in or around the vibrant city of Amsterdam or willing to move.
