About the team and your challenge

As a Traveller Insights Intern, you will assist the members of the Research team on a diverse range of projects. You will help with project management; creating, preparing and executing (mainly qualitative) research projects that focus on collecting traveller insights for multiple teams within TravelBird, such as marketing, design and product departments. You are curious about travel behaviour and the motivations behind it. You are also able to interpret numerical data and find connections with qualitative learnings to distil actionable insights.This internship provides a unique opportunity to improve your qualitative research skills, like interviewing, analyzing and reporting techniques, but also you 'learn by doing' how to set up qualitative research projects from a-z (recruitment of respondents, tech set up etc).

Your tasks

• Supporting with setting up and conducting (mostly qualitative) research projects (online and face to face);
• Supporting the analysis and reporting of qualitative and quantitative data;
• Functioning as a sparring partner for our Research team on a diverse range of topics;
• Desk research on travel-related themes and trends when needed;
• Supporting our Research team with operational activities;
  
  

Who you are

• You are studying a subject relevant to the internship (e.g. Communications, Tourism management, International Business, Psychology or other Social studies)*;
• A curious mind and have a passion to dig into the underlying motivations of human behaviour;
• You are accurate and detail-oriented;
• You are organized and structured;
• You work well under pressure and have a creative but ambitious approach to getting things done;
• You have a positive mindset and are proactive;
• You are a team player, but also capable of working independently;
• Good understanding of data and analyzing skills;
• Driven to learn every day;
• Self-motivated and able to think creatively;
• Good communication and writing skills in at least English;
• You are available for a minimum of 5 months, full-time (no thesis);
• Live in or around the vibrant city of Amsterdam or willing to move.
