Are you versatile and precise when it comes to numbers? Do you want to get an insight of the Purchasing and Finance department of a luxury hotel? This is your chance! The Conservatorium hotel in Amsterdam is looking for an enthusiastic Purchasing Intern.

What are you going to do?

For our Purchasing team we are looking for an enthusiastic intern for a minimum period of 6 months. In this role you will support our close-knit Purchasing team with daily tasks related to all items that enter and leave our hotel. During this internship you will:

• Process daily packing slips in the purchasing system;
• Manage the supplies in the warehouse;
• Provide supplies to the departments of the hotel;
• Foresee Purchase invoices with relevant and required documentation;
• Update our procurement system;
• Support with cost control and accounting;
• Upload and download price quotations on products.

Who are you?

For this opportunity we are looking for a student who is eager to take a hands-on approach to learning about the procurement management of a successful hotel. Furthermore, you:

• Have excellent verbal and written command of the English language (Dutch is preferred);
• Are enrolled in a Bachelor study, preferably with a hotel or finance background;
• Have affinity with numbers and calculations;
• Have intermediate skills in Windows Excel;
• Are available for a minimum period of at least 6-10 months.
