HBO stage: Bringing the customer portal to the cloud in Eindhoven

​Within this project we are looking for an intern that wants to learn about these subjects and wants to support DAF IT with this transition to the cloud. Your task will be to work together with several domain experts to make sure this transition will be as smooth as possible, meaning our customers, suppliers and dealers will be able to continue to do their business on our new platform. You will be challenged to define your own (exact) research questions, with focus on being the bridge between the business and IT. An example could be to support the roll-out of technical upgrade of all Dealer Management Systems in the different dealer workshops, or defining the planning for moving all 150+ applications to the new servers on the cloud landscape.

This role is ideal for high potential students, you will be thouroughly coached and supported throughout the process. We are looking for self-starters, candidates with strong customer focus, strong communication skills and lets make it happen mentality.

PACCAR IT Europe is responsible for the development, support and management of information systems for the users in Europe of DAF Trucks, PACCAR Parts, PACCAR Financial and PacLease. We employ around 250 IT professionals within IT Europe.

IT Project Management Office  is responsible for delivering the newest technology and solutions to the current IT landscape via projects. One of these projects is the “Global Portal Project”, which aims to move the current DAF ePortal landscape to the (PACCAR) Cloud. This is a massive operation which touches upon all important aspects; security, business continuity, (IT) infrastructure, compliance, etc.
