As a Chapter Lead, you contribute to this goals by focussing on innovation within your department. You stay up-to-date on the latest developments and you mentor your team members in becoming technical experts. How are you going to shape innovation, advancements and projects within your department?

Your job

As Chapter Lead, you will combine working as an IT Engineer, with your role as Lead. About 60% of the time you will work in your own block (scrum team) on refining, analysing, designing, developing/coding, testing, maintaining and realizing good quality and future proof IT solutions. The rest of the time you will manage your team. This includes:

  •  Educating yourself and others with the right technical capabilities and the latest innovations.
  •  Mentoring your Chapter members on technical craftsmanship.
  •  Actively participating in knowledge gaining and sharing by joining triangles, circles, communities and events. Furthermore, focus on proper knowledge dissemination across the teams, pushing the limits of our technology and focussing on holistic solutions. 
  • Proper alignment with stakeholders. For example, informing leadership on the alignment you have with the Solution Engineer on the technological landscape and lifecycle. Furthermore you ensure a current stack and room for innovation on the backlog by discussing this with the Product Owners.
  • Working in a DevOps environment and advocating the Agile and CICD processes. 
  • On a strategical level you mentor your team, evaluate technical assessments, do interviews and ensure that new employees are properly onboarded.
  • Take care of the HR processes to facilitate all aspects relating to the influx, development, performance and outflux of employees. 
  • Create and foster a healthy working environment and a holistic culture for your Chapter.

Global Markets provides access to the financial markets with a wide range of services and solutions for risk management, capital market products, investment products and financing products. Do you think you‘re a fit? Check your profile:

  • You have an academic degree in Information/computer science related studies
  • 7+ years of experience in technologies like Java, Spring Framework, rest APIs and Azure.
  • Good experience with CI/CD process and tooling
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good experience in security architecture / design reviews, threat modelling, security standards and how to improve security from all perspectives.
  • Good understanding and experience of Capital Markets Business Processes and Products
  • Experience in working with Azure in large scale environments with complex set-ups
  • Experience in People and Performance management
  • Ability to coach, motivate and inspire others
  • You have an entrepreneurial mind-set
  • You know all about DevOps and Agile working
