Your job

As a Senior Business Developer for Risk Data & Modelling, you will make a vital contribution to supplying reliable risk-related data to various stakeholders in the Risk Management organisation. You will use your knowledge and skills to work with Risk Management, the business and the IT organisation.

You will support various teams in developing qualitative dashboards to provide insight on risks. Together with the data users, you will supply the requested data to the relevant Risk stakeholders in accordance with the specifications and the agreed timelines. You will also support the on boarding of new data sources required to produce the qualitative dashboards and reports.  

The objective is to enable structural and compliant data delivery, dashboard and report generation on a new Azure cloud based platform. Your main activities are obtaining functional and non-functional requirements, designing dashboards, assessing CDE classification, performing mappings and gathering DQ requirements. This will deliver valuable IFRS9 and Definition of Default related insights to various Finance and Risk stakeholders. In order for the bank to become BCBS239 compliant, you will also support the implementation of Data Lineage functionality from data source to dashboards and reports and support the implementation of automated DQ checks & and reports on both source and integrated data, providing comprehensive and timely DQ issue detection.

Because we are bringing the risk data management process to a structurally higher level, you and your colleagues will be actively working to improve the process where necessary. Autonomous cooperation based on an agile approach will be the key to success.

Working environment

As Senior Business Developer you work within the Risk Data & Modelling (“RD&M”) Grid. A grid is a clearly and logically defined cluster of teams with end-to-end responsibility for one or more product groups, channels or enablers. A team is a multidisciplinary form of collaboration consisting of professionals from the business lines and the IT organization, who work together autonomously and agile.

The purpose of the Risk Data & Modelling Grid is to help the various departments within Risk to make their decisions, models and reports data driven, by providing insight into the data strategy & requirements, providing analysis capabilities on data, alignment of data with Finance and the delivery of data through the right data processes and systems to the Risk users.

You will become Senior Business Developer in the Risk Data & Modelling department as part of the Risk Data Analysis team. The team is responsible to provide insights . The team’s main clients are the Financial Risk stakeholders, incl. Credit Risk, Central Risk and FR&R (Financial Restructuring & Recovery). Other major stakeholders are Finance, the business, and the IT organisation. Like the other teams, yours will largely consist of young, driven professionals. Because the department is still under development, you will be expected to actively contribute to the strategy for improving the working method. The atmosphere is open and informal. We work hard, but there’s plenty of scope for enjoyment!

You have proven ability in data analytics, data management, data modelling and/or data architecture. You are energetic, with a passion for combining thinking and doing. You have a handle on what’s going on in the organisation. Client focus is the main driver behind your work within the team. You take responsibility. As well as having a strong drive to maintain your own expertise, you’re keen to actively contribute to further developing and improving the area you work in. You’re energised by transferring your expertise to others and are interested in what you can learn from colleagues with other forms of expertise.
