The team and your challenge

As a Partnership Marketing Intern, you become part of the Marketing team of TravelBird. Our team consists of around 40 international marketing birdies from all over the world. That’s from the USA to Greece and from Israel to Spain. As ambitious pioneers, we strive to achieve bold targets to let our company grow but we also love our social time during boot camps in the Vondelpark and Friday drinks. Our mission is to inspire curious minds to travel places they never thought of before. We seduce them to book their holidays with us, and we do this in such a way that they fall in love with our brand and choose to stay with us for their lifetime. How we do it? We master storytelling, using data and smart technologies and combine this with our human creative power. In order to do so, we embrace the latest technical advancements and data insights. We work closely with all TravelBird domains like Data Science & Product.

As a Partnership Marketing Intern you are, together with your team, responsible for the optimization of the affiliate channel. You are the expert of TravelBird's portfolio, and promote our holidays via our network of affiliate partners. You will be monitoring and improving the relationship with our partners by reaching the right audience. Together we will be able to provide the best deals to our publishers with creative promotions that inspire people. You will report directly to the Team Lead Partnership Marketing and work closely with our Category Managers and the rest of the Marketing departments!

Your tasks
  • Communicating with our partners on a daily basis, in order to develop, maintain and grow our cooperations with existing/new partners;
  • You are responsible to approve sales, make sure partners are paid on time and handle incoming request and questions;
  • Taking initiative/ownership by creating inspiring promotions/campaigns with partners to contribute to the further growth of the channel;
  • You are in daily contact with our Category Management team, in order for you to know which of our trips are the best to promote;
  • You analyze the performance of the affiliate channel in France and Belgique via Tableau and Google Analytics;
  • Interacting with other departments within the company, including Design, the Travel Advisors, Marketing and Category Management.
Who you are
  • Studying a subject relevant to the internship (Commercial Economics, Business Administration, Tourism, Marketing)*;
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written (French is a plus);
  • Commercial mindset, and passionate about new marketing initiatives;
  • Enthusiastic, creative, flexible and very pro-active;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Love for travelling and exploring different cultures;
  • Teamplayer, but also capable of working independently;
  • Available for a minimum period of 5 months full-time (no research);
  • Living in Amsterdam or willing to move;
  • Agree with an internship remuneration of €350 per month.

* You must be a student during the internship (enrolled in a university/higher education institution.
