IT Internship - Market scan Transaction Filtering (Amsterdam) - Amsterdam

For this assignment we are looking for an HBO or WO master student who have studied preferably the following subjects: Business Analysis and/or IT Strategy & Innovation. You will be working in the ABN AMRO Client Due Diligence & Regulations (CAR) grid team. Your task will be to execute a market scan on transaction filtering by means of desk research, interviews, reference visits, etc., in order to give us advice on a future proof transaction filtering solution.

First, to conduct a market scan on main trends/future developments in the transaction filtering domain (like a competitor analysis or an analysis on potential solutions/providers with a fit for ABN AMRO). Secondly, to give an advise based on the market scan to the Product Owner, Grid Owner and Engineering Lead regarding a future proof transaction filtering solution, preferably as part of the Azure public cloud AML/Fraud/Compliance eco system. The Transaction Filtering domain is one of the key elements in aspects like end-to-end payments and transactions chains, supporting our clients to initiate and receive payments via SWIFT, SEPA and IBAS (trade finance) network. The domain is running for years and performing conform industry standards. However, with a faster moving interaction between clients and counterparts, trends like faster or even instant payments, and real time exchange of funds, we need to ensure that our solution is catered for the future. 

You will be working with the Client Due Diligence & Regulations (CAR) grid team. Their mission is to safeguard the bank’s license to operate. In this manner, The grid covers the Client Due Diligence framework (including client acceptance, client filtering, transaction filtering and transaction monitoring), as well as the required client data supportive of this framework. In addition, the grid also investigate new/changed regulations to ensure compliancy.
