About the team and your challenge

Taking care of travellers, before, during and after their trips is what we do. As HR intern you will have the unique opportunity to get to know & experience the entire HR process in an international, fast-paced and dynamic environment, where you will support and her team! You will be responsible for the interns at TravelBird as you are their main contact during their TravelBird career! Also, together with the HR team you will focus on improving HR processes and provide input on HR cases. On a daily basis, you will work on HR administration and HR policies. During the internship you will learn all the in’s and out’s of HR, improve your social skills and be fully prepped to be a qualified HR professional. You will be able to add value to our team with your enthusiasm and drive. Last, but not least, you have the chance to work on additional HR projects.

Your Tasks
  • Responsible for the interns from the moment they are hired up to when their internship ends;
  • Conducting half-way and last-day meetings with the interns;
  • Ensuring that the HR administration is up to date and according to the Dutch Legislation;
  • Drafting and checking (internship) contracts and taking care of other administration (e.g. Erasmus Scholarships, Employer statements);
  • Ensuring a correct salary administration for the interns;
  • Assisting the HR team in their tasks, analyses and projects (e.g. onboarding, retention, engagement, secondary benefits);
  • Constantly improving the HR process with regards to interns.
Who are you
  • You are studying a subject relevant to the internship (Human Resources/Business Administration)*;
  • Enthusiastic, creative, flexible, integer and proactive;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Handles stress and pressure very well;
  • Team player, but also capable of working independently;
  • Native level Dutch and fluent in English, both spoken and written;
  • Available for a minimum period of 5 months full-time (no research);
  • Living in or around Amsterdam or willing to move.

* You must be a student during the internship (enrolled in a university/higher education institution.
