Internship Corporate & Institutional Banking, Global Sector - Amsterdam - Amsterdam

As an intern you will work for at least 3 months in the challenging surroundings of one of our Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) departments in our Amsterdam office:

• Trade & Commodity Finance (TCF) consists of the Agricultural  and the Energy & Metals Commodity Finance departments
• Natural Resources consists of Energy EMEA, Basic Materials (Metals & Minerals and Chemicals), Capital Structuring & Advisory (CSA) and Sector Origination.
• Transportation & Logistics consists of Shipping, Intermodal and Logistics.

Given the volatile and vulnerable markets in which we operate, people active in this business need to be constantly aware of market conditions and keep up with the clients in the ever-changing demand for financial products and services.

Dependent on your profile, interest and availability at the departments, you will be assigned to one of the CIB Business lines (see above).With TCF you will join the Agri or Energy & Metals Commodities Team and work alongside experienced Account Mangers, support them with their day-to-day business activities, such as assisting in performing company financial analysis, credit proposals or exploring commercial opportunities.With Natural Resources you assist the sector bankers in designing client solutions and build multi-product knowledge in products spanning Mergers & Acquisitions, Debt and Equity Capital Markets for clients and prospects active in the industrial value chain of Energy And Basic Materials.With Global Transportation & Logistics you will join a Shipping team or Intermodal & Avation. You will work as a junior in the team and assist the account managers on their daily activities, like financial analysis, sector analysis, credit proposals etc.Seize this opportunity as it could be an essential steppingstone to develop you into the professional you aspire to be. Are you a genuine analyst and good with numbers? Do you have a strong business sense and excellent social skills? We are looking for an intern with strong analytical and numerical skills, affinity with finance and one of the CIB International sectors. You are a (ex-)student with the ambition to move into a banking environment post-graduation. Although your daily activities will be internally focused, a commercial mind-set is essential. Strong attention to detail is required, as is the simultaneous ability to see the big picture. Strong communicator with ability to interact at various levels within the organization. Sensitive to surroundings and able to handle confidential information. Pro-active and solutions-oriented. Able to work under tight time frames and pressure. • if you're eligible to work in the Netherlands without a work permit and are already living in the Netherlands and/or;
